Rescue operations of FEMERAID - Budapest Unit during the snow disaster in Hungary

15th of March is one of the most significant national holidays in Hungary, this year the celebrations were cancelled because of the snow storms all around the country. At 00:30 the Disaster Management Directorate of the Capital alerted our association to help them in the hosting, and catering of those who cannot use the highway. The TESCO supermarket was appointed as shelter for these persons, the Red Cross managed the catering while the FEMERAID Budapest Unit registered, and help the people with the necessarily information and assistance.

In 2013 the Slovak Red Cross (S.R.C.) celebrates 150 years of its existence. In January 2013 the leaders of S.R.C and the representatives of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP) signed a cooperation agreement in order to save lives through blood transfusion.

The humanitarian organisation of Knights of Malta (KMFAP) supported the education of Cambodian orphans

In early February of 2013 „Malta Cross Foundation International” - the humanitarian organisation of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP) once again provided significant financial support to the children of an orphanage – operating in Phnom Penh (Cambodia).
